In 2004, IT support professionals and Bray locals, Jim and Tina Kavanagh had their laptop stolen. Looking for some way to repay the thief, they came across Canadian company, Absolutesoftware, which had a product to track stolen computers.
By June 2005, Jim and Tina secured the only Irish license to distribute the ComputraceOne software through their company Stealth Shield Ltd.
In January 2007, the Kavanaghs merged their existing computer repairs business with Stealth Shield and opened The Computer Repair Centre in the Woodlands Office Park, Southern Cross Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow.
